The families of serving military personnel looking for help in managing the cost of everyday health care now have a solution in Forces Financial's Health Cash Plan. This latest edition to Forces Financial's portfolio of products, all designed with the careers and lifestyles of members of HM Armed Forces in mind, was launched in partnership with BHSF on the 4th February 2008.

Around the globe servicemen and women have ready access to expert medical and dental services, whilst their UK based families count on the National Health Service. With many NHS treatments now coming at a price, it makes sense to join a modestly priced health plan that entitles the policyholder to some cash back when costs are incurred.

In choosing Forces Financial's Health Cash Plan families can reduce the cost of regular health care and wellbeing by claiming on their policy any number of times in a year, up to agreed cash limits. Cover is provided for the policyholder, partner and dependent children under the age of 18, and a may be taken out by anyone between the ages of 17 and 64; no medicals are required. Premiums start from as little as £15 a month for all the family, and there are three levels of benefit to choose from, offering a broad range of treatments and benefits that include optical and dental treatments, physiotherapy, maternity benefit, consultations, day-case surgery and stays in hospital.

A maximum annual level of reimbursement for each treatment is set, dependent on the level of cover selected, and families could find that if they spend regularly on dentistry and optical care the annual claims they can make on their policy f rom these two areas alone will cover 60% the plan's cost *, whilst also providing back-up cover for all the other treatments listed as well.

For families based in the UK or planning a move back to this country the support provided by the Health Cash Plan will go some way in alleviating the costs if, like many, they find NHS dental lists closed to them. If policyholders are posted overseas at any time cover can be suspended until it is required again.
