Forces Financial launches on line and in branch foreign currency service

Forces Financial has launched a new foreign currency service which, coupled with its recent purchase of military travel and holidays specialist Forces Travel, gives it the capacity to offer customers the full set of services required for trouble free travel – insurance, currency, holiday bookings and travel arrangements, hotel reservations, airport parking and car hire.

The new foreign currency service is available online and at all Forces Financial and Forces Travel branches in 16 military locations in Germany and Cyprus.

Using the online service at www.forcesfinancial.com UK customers can securely purchase foreign currency and traveller's cheques at competitive exchange rates with zero commission and a small delivery fee. The online currency converter is simple to use, with 43 currencies to select from. It quickly calculates the converted amounts, shows the currency exchange rate and the amount the customer will receive. Orders placed before 1230hrs are delivered by fully insured special delivery to the customer’s home or workplace by 1300hrs the next working day.

Forces personnel and their dependents posted to BFG and BFC can arrange their foreign currency at the same time as booking their travel arrangements in one of the many Forces Financial and Forces Travel branches. The sales teams will make all the arrangements, including money transfers if necessary, and once the foreign currency or travellers cheques are received in the branch a quick call to the customer will confirm the funds are ready to be picked up.
